SPACE TEAM CANADA Kane Rouse

The Utmost professional treasure my CSA "SPACE TEAM CANADA" crest. This was given to me by a Friend and my Professional Mentor Val O'Donavan CEO of Com Dev Ltd. Our Team worked long hours, I personally worked 100 plus hours / week for 1.5 years on Intelsat VI Program. ComDev Ltd designed telecommunication equipment on Commercial and Military Satellite Programs designing major innovative satellite assemblies for 100's of Satellites worldwide. We designed Satellite Multiplexers, Variable Power Dividers, Major Satellite Enhancement Programs and complex switching and relay assemblies. The Design, Vibration & Vacuum Testing, Tuning, Manufacturing and Certification performed onsite at ComDev Ltd. Our Team worked directly with Hughes Space and Communications Group as a Tier 1 supplier. In the 1980's we designed 90% of the worlds Multiplexer systems of every satellite deployed. Top Secret Clearance was required for my 5 year duration at Com Dev Ltd. I Personally received Top Secret Spec. Documents & Shuttle Cargo Bay Structure Drawings including Insulation Blanket Parameters handed directly to Signoff as Received from Airborne Express Delivery.
My Old Briefcase (1980's) when Aerospace Designers/Managers would stick the Program Stickers on their Briefcase given only to people working on the Program(s). It gave you a sense of Pride and Feeling of Contribution (I lost most of my Program Stickers). Back in these days of the early 1980's when the World Wide Web Infrastructure was in creation (Gound Stations & Country Supplied Satellites Anik C&D, Palapa, G-Star, Brazilsat, Melanos, Aussat, Intelsat VI, etc ) were in Design, Manufactured & Deployed gave the ability to Link together the Satellite Communications creating the World Wide Web and then later Organized by Google Listings. Also the creation of Facsimile Transmission and Cellphone communication.
In the 1980's Russia was 20 years behind in Satellite Technology. All Design performed by hand on a drafting board using Paper and Mylar along with being stored on Microfiche and Locked away in a Climate Controlled Safe Room Offsite.
