Social Art And Music Complex.

 

Concept:

 

The idea was to create a place, where people are not defined by their background, religion, their society position, or even their political opinions. and to me, you can only do that through art and music.

That’s why i call it “Social” art and music complex. the idea is to integrate people more together socially, of course through art and music.

The idea here in the project is that the site will invite various artists or musicians, and host them in the place (project) for how long they can or want to stay.

And throughout their resident it’s job to help people socially come together, through what they do, wether they are musicians, artists, photographers, and so on.

So how they do that?

They have to do workshops (give) and also present their work (take), if they are musicians also the same, they teach music, and they can do live gigs and events whenever they want in the site.

Now i also thought about the artist him\her self. To make this place a good worthy experience. So they also have to integrate well into the project and the site.

 

Architectural Designing:

 

Concept:

 

I started by taking an axis from the “Istanbul Modern Art Museum” which is one of the most important art museum in the area and i somehow wanted to connect them together,it’s also close to my site.

So from this axis i had this definition of space, because my project concept was all about spaces, so i read the simplest definition about space which is “ Space is the boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and events have relative position and direction”. so it’s all about X-Y-Z.

So i assumed that the axis that i took is (X) and i took another horizontal line on the axis which is (Y), and later on when i lift the triangles i got the (Z).

 

Dividing:

 

The main focus point of the site is the outside site plan, i have a big event space in the middle, and the walls will be outer gallery for artists, i also have and open gallery dug into the ground.

inside i have underground floor for two galleries and one underground club or concert hall.

The artist resident will be the shipping containers which i put randomly in the site.

 

Reference Inspired from:

The huge walls in the site, was inspired by Richard Serra’s Work, he is just a genius.
