This project is called ‘Feast Automata’ and it is a collaborative project with Fortnum & Mason who are famous for their food, drink and luxurious goods. So I started to think about what cooking is and finally, I concluded in my brainstorm that cooking is similar to scientific experiments. When I researched food from a scientific perspective, I found each food group could be categorised as either acidic or alkaline. 

With this automaton, you can make decorated paper doilies for cakes. All the ink is fruit juice so this paper is edible. Litmus paper is used so that the colour would react depending on the acidic level of the dropped liquid.
