This is very different from my usual style, this is because I used a personal old sketch for a final project for my advanced Adobe Illustrator class last quarter.

I made it using mostly gradients, and a few blends here and there. I decided to leave the plants looking very flat to make contrast with the character, so the whole image wouldn't look so heavy.

I barely add shadows/lights in my personal work, so this was kind of scary to me, but at the end it came out a lot better than I expected.
