Concept

The TLAPA Resort project is a fictional resort located in Alaska. The name TLAPA if the Inuit (Eskimo) word for powder. The Concept behind the resort is to communicate to their audience a feeling of being at on with nature, and belonging to a tribe of people who appreciate, and enjoy similar things. The resort is broken down into three tribes of people, and depending on your tribe you receive certain discounts on events geared towards your tribe, and other offers and events so that you become familiar not only with the people you share the mountain with, but more specifically the ones that belong to your tribe.

The tribes are broken down into the following categories:
- TLUN (Park) Meaning snow that glimmers in the moonlight, represented by the moon icon. Riders that spend a substantial amount of their day in the park are encouraged to join this tribe that offers certain discounts on items, and activities that are geared towards this type of person.
- SOTLA (Back Country) Meaning snow that glimmers in the sunlight, represented by the sun icon. Riders that enjoy deep powder open spaces and the less trekked are encouraged to join this tribe that offers certain discounts on items, and activities that are geared towards this type of person.
- Astrila (All Mountain) Meaning snow that glimmers in the starlight, represented by the star icon. Riders that enjoy the all around experience are encouraged to join this tribe that offers certain discounts on items, and activities that are geared towards this type of person.
