Architects and Their Homes

Architects and Their Homes
As an architecture student, I asked myself, "How does architect's architectural practice reflect their personal environment?" I wanted to document how architects house themselves and how their unique personalities and design style was projected on to the spaces in which they lived.

I interviewed four architects from the Bay Area, each one having their own distinct background and history that reflected in the spaces that they lived. This process of documentation has helped me understand architecture in a more humanistic scale. I've learned in the end from the people I've interviewed that their architectural practice and personal environment do coincide in varying degrees. Some were more relaxed in their style and some achieved to be as close to the style they aspire. Ultimately, it was their home.
