Change Work is a participatory conference wherein participants come to hear inspirational talks and work through complex problems. Participants include people from various domains in order to get the best interdisciplinary collaborations.
In this particular Change Work, the subject of children and movement was the theme as recently in Denmark, a new practice is in place in schools wherein children have to move for an additional 45 minutes each day. Since many of the schools don't know how to integrate this in a way which is also conductive to learning, this event gathered teachers, students, and experts in fields such as learning, anthropology, technology, and change to discuss possible solutions.
Vanessa created a presentation to inspire and educate, about the possibilities of engaging children in learning activities in alternate ways, including playing with fire, responsive playgrounds and musical furniture. The PDF of the presentation can be seen here:
