'NO BORDERS' social project

The mission of this project is social integration of people with health disabilities.

Idea of this project appeared during the study of the problem of integration disabled people into modern society in Russia. There are many psychological barriers and stereotypes. People with health disabilities are often socially isolated, unable to get a job, because many believe they cannot handle routine tasks. Sometimes society is afraid of hurting disabled people or know absolutely nothing about how to behave with them.

This project show the similarity and uniqueness of self-expression between ordinary people and people with disabilities.

If you can LOOK, HEAR and FEEL clearly, you will understand that there are no boundaries between people.

LOOK

Video made in the style of a slide film with 'frame-by-frame' animation. It tells the story of vision loss, blindness and subsequent adjustment to a world of sounds, smells and touches.
HEAR

The video uses combined elements of Russian Sign Language (RSL) and intuitive hand-gestures. Together they «say» the same phrase letter by letter, and each frame demonstrates the similarity of on the RSL (on the left side), and the same intuitive gesture which an ordinary person could show a letter (on the right side).
FEEL

Stop motion video, demonstrates the uniqueness of communication between ordinary people and people with health disabilities. Each color in this video has a psychological meaning: blue is friendliness and awareness, magenta is fearlessness and readiness for change, and yellow is the most positive color, the color of life. Mixing three colors makes new shades in a variety of combinations, as many new ideas appear on interaction of different people.
