Oscar Hammerstein is one of the Netherlands’ most famous lawyers. His reputation is talked about and knows many ups and downs. Oscar has also been HIV positive since the 80‘s. His autobiography was published this year (2014) and this was a reason for Winq Magazine to interview Oscar and ask NO CANDY to photograph him. The idea to freeze the portraits was inspired by the Oscar’s description of the effects the AIDS drugs can have on him - it made his face so cold that it felt like it was frozen.
