This project focused on the Dear Photograph theme where an older image is held up in front of where it was originally taken. The purpose of this project was to investigate the way in which photography can be used to portray a story.

 

As well as experimenting with applying this by using old images, I also staged some using frames and editing techniques in Photoshop to age and discolour parts of the image.

 

 

To further age and add emotion to my staged photos, I used physical editing techniques such as defacing, burning and scratching photos.

 

 

As my project progressed, I applied the digital and physical editing techniques to my images as well as combing this project with a subproject that focused on story telling though illustration.
