Cingular/AT&T Wireless
Overview
Like many organizations Cingular (AT&T) had a large e-commerce site that had grown somewhat organically over the years as the online space had evolved and in an ongoing attempt to serve it's many masters; consumers, business partners, vendors, hardware manufacturers and mobile carriers. They had finally reached the wall and needed to start fresh.
We embarked on a ground up content re-structuring, visual design refresh and technology upgrade. As the effort would impact every aspect of their online business and marketing efforts, it necessitated a full audit of all touch points, audiences, groups and business partners who would be using the site. A simplified task based approach to navigation became the foundation for the content structure, along with a clean, contemporary visual design language that could extend beyond the site to collateral materials as needed.
When Cingular was acquired by AT&T we were engaged to manage the rebranding efforts and extend the wireless site experience to their other properties and services.
