In response to the Riots (August 2011)
when twitter came to life in London (a personal piece)
At the beginning of August 2011 a police shooting lead to a peaceful protest, which was then hijacked. The city and even the country was then plunged into nearly a week of chaos as riots sprung up around the UK totally unrelated to police shooting.

What then happened was amazing... the country rallied via twitter. And people turned up with brooms and tools and began putting things right.

It was definitely something to see.
Below are a few images I did in support of the movement.
Let's own it and do something to help...
This was the response to the twitter question, "But what if they riot again tonight {why bother doing all this now?]"
I couldn't help but admire the spirit here.
Another hashtag that sprung up in response. It was a sad situation, but the responses were awe inspiring.
