The writers couple, Jessica Durlacher & Leon de Winter, were asked to write the theater play about Anne Frank. During the world premiere of the play in Amsterdam, their interview was published in Volkskrant Magazine and NO CANDY was asked to make the portraits. After photographing the couple, NO CANDY painted on the photo's with ink, as Anne once wrote in her diary in ink during her years in hiding in the 'Achterhuis' in Amsterdam during WWII.
