Given the date of the event (October 29th), a Halloween/horror theme was chosen, the backdrop was composed to fit the theme, using established elements of the style: skulls, bones, zombie hands, barbed wire, stormy clouds, grunge filters, paper tearing and a reddish, dark colour palette.
