Magazine Spread Redesign
The Distant Executioner magazine spread redesign was an exercise in layout and typography. I chose a three spread article from Vogue Magazine about a sniper whose experiences during war altered him in a way that made him feel like a target. I chose this article because the design style of the original spreads did not accurately reflect the story that was being told. Having to only utilize a maximum of three spreads, I selected new typefaces, designed new graphic elements and laid out the pages in a way that represented the sniper's emotional and moving perspective.
