The Man in the Woods
This stop motion animation is a short story about a man who lives alone in the woods. One morning he wakes up makes himself some coffee with milk at the kitchen table and then walks outside into the woods with a large suitcase. At this point I want the audience to question where this man is going, and why does he have a shovel with him? Is he going on holiday? Then they see him digging a hole and burying the bag, now the audience has even more questions, what was in the bag and why did he bury it? Was the bag filled with money that he is trying to hide? He then walks back home, and passes the table with the milk carton on, the wind blows through the window, blowing over the milk carton revealing a missing woman, the audience then links this woman with a photograph of the same woman hanging on the wall in the background. The whole story now makes sense to the audience, as they work backwards answering their own questions from earlier in the story and realizing the sad fate of this missing woman.
