John Choi was born and raised in Korea. When Choi was sixteen, he decided to take a journey to the great city of New York. Currently, Choi is studying at the School of Visual Arts, majoring in Motion Graphic design. Choi enjoys working with creative people and always learning about good design.

 

The idea of Nice to Meet You evolved through many combinations of graphic layouts and shapes that reflected Choi's personality. Choi also incorporated recognizable images, and designed the project as a dynamic introduction.
 

Nice to Meet You was designed to introduce John Choi in a typographically creative way. The challenge resided in how well Choi was able to express himself through clean design, while simultaneously creating a true representation of himself through typography.

 

Adobe After Effects CC and Adobe Illustrator CC were used during the creative process of the piece.
