We invented a musical instrument with an actual shoe. NIKE MUSIC SHOE is an instrument that can be played by bending the shoes. The instrument symbolizes both the flexibility and musicality of Nike Free Run+. With this instrument, we integrated our communication through a viral performance video, retail store display, and live performances by musicians.

 

Nike Music Shoeは、ランニングシューズ「NIKE FREE RUN+」を楽器のように演奏するライブパフォーマンス動画です。 
シューズを楽器にするというアイデアは、シューズを曲げたり伸ばしたりしながらシューズの特性を理解していく過程でごく自然に生まれてきました。 
困難であった局面は具体的な表現の作り込みのところでした。どんな音楽にするのか、映像のトーン＆マナーをどう見せるかなど、細かいチューニングに時間をかけました。映像制作にあたっては、嘘ではなく本物だと伝えるために、ドキュメンタリーの要素を入れつつ、サイト上でメイキングや音楽制作の情報を公開する工夫を行いました。
