    My aim is to raise awareness of the world’s changing habitat. I try to communicate the urgency to preserve and protect what is left of it and to do the best we can to try and rebuild what has been destroyed by humanity’s greed and ignorance. My artworks are a balancing act between comforting beauty and disturbing reality. It’s exciting to see how the materials react with one another, creating new textures and colours that weren’t intentional. I also like to play with colour schemes to symbolise the different seasons and elements of the environment. Most of my paintings are very large, either on wood or canvas. When exhibiting, the originals are put up on the walls, with a photograph of the same artwork projected on top of it. This way the viewer becomes part of the installation. When walking past the images he/she is trapped in between projection and painting and has no choice but to engage and realize that we are all part of the problem/solution. Read Less
