Majors Night 2015

The Department of Academic Affairs, which is a part of the Notre Dame Student Government, puts on an annual Majors Night event so that freshmen and sophomores may talk to professors and students to learn more about all the degrees offered. As a graphic designer for the Student Government, I was in charge of creating the promotional material as well as the signs and brochures at the actual event.

The poster design was inpired by school-related objects, such as a corkboard, calendar, and post-it notes. The color palette is loosely based on the intercollegiate colors associated with the various academic disciplines.
The poster was hung around the many dorms and academic buildings at the university. It was also adjusted for promotion through table tents and digital screens.
Aside from promotions, I also made the brochure that accompanies the event. It contains an event map, tips on what to do at the event, and advice on where to go from there.
Additional posters were created and hung around at the event, mainly serving to promote the Career Center and all of the various needs students can to them for.
The event proved to be very successful, with over 800 students attending throughout the night. The event went smoothly and the Career Center was very appreciative of their involvement.
