le pourquoi de Casuarina Graphic
Many people are faced with the construction of their home with few means, without access to the service of an architect or a technical specialist support. Because of few resources. Even so a graphical aid can be provided, so that at the time to get down to work, it could be done with clear ideas, drawing a personal and realizable project.
Casuarina Graphic therefore proposes a presentation of building basic concepts, focused on housing in tropical environment, through readable and simple graphic designs, accessible to anyone. The idea is to imply the issues to consider, the existing solutions to overcome them and the advantages to the short and long term.
The designs are presented together with short texts that allow to insist on these basic concepts, point to details or propose materials.
The point is to promote the idea as a proposal for economically reachable houses and sustainable afterwards, humanly pleasant and healthy, bioclimatically satisfactory and even esthetically attractive.
It is not an architect proposal although the necessary previous searches and the collection of resulting information, have been based on outreach works of bioclimatic or tropical construction expert architects. The question is not which house to build, but what type of house and more or less how. Plans are not proposed as this is the job of the architect himself, but an idea of organization of housing so that everyone can imagine his own home.
It is also a matter of becoming aware of the available natural resources that can become passive tools for the housing and the welfare. Become aware of that nature provides affordable comfort without having recourse to hostile conditioning means, often contaminant energy sources and in the end, the environmental and economic waste. The waste does not favor comfort and never promotes tranquility nor happiness.
In summary, the purpose is to promote a sense of home, of housing, to understand that climatic and geographical environment is not a problem, but our entourage to which we must adapt and with which we can live pleasantly. And not the other way around.
