Design of the poster for the exhibition “DISEÑO AL PLATO”, organized by the ADCV, the Association of Designers from the Valencian Community, for the Valencia Disseny Week 2015.
The exhibition conveys two different visions of the relationship between design and gastronomy, one of them focused on graphic design and the other one on product design. The latter displays the result of the cooperation between ADCV designers, chefs and artisans.
Nueve estudio has worked with vegetable fiber artisan Marifé Navarro and Venere restaurant chef Toni Aliaga.Taking rice, a typical Valencian gastronomic proposal, as a start, ours is a reinterpretation using typical products from L’Albufera in Valencia like duck and eel.
Therefore, for the approach and development of the piece, L’Albufera in Valencia was analyzed considering everything from its own geomorphology to objects and traditions generated as well as closely linked to it.
This exhibition will take place at La Nau culture centre and it features the collaboration of the Valencian Community Craftmanship Centre., the UPV “Fooddesign” Technology Lab and the gastronomic association “A-cuinar”.
