The first steps of the logo concept and creation process. I sketched hundreds of ideas for potential logo directions.

It took me quite a few iterations to get the mark and characters to be the way we wanted.

Finally, we came up with an abstract mark we liked. The words we wanted the logo to represent were, bold, humble, nautical.

I began building it out and make more iterations to the typeface and mark.

Here is one of the first rounds of the logo creation. I brought in a mood board and tried the symbol out in many colors and variations.

I made typeface adjustments to match the logo's shape and curvature. I also wanted to make sure legibility was key.

We refined the curvatures with perfect shapes and tried to balance the mark with the characters.
