A Persian Rug
While working in Honduras with OYE, I became quick friends with a Honduran artist with Middle Eastern heritage, who allowed me to paint and play in his garden. The Persian rug project came from a casual conversation about memories he had in the garden. I didn't realize the piece would become a reality until I began trying to hunt down materials for four 46" x 93" stencil in the small towns market. After buying 9 yards of material there was no turning back.

It was surreal. I was standing in one of the most beautiful places in the world painting with three wonderful gardeners. We had to move quickly because rainy season was moving in on us but in two days we were able to finish 11 large rugs.
