BETTER BATHROOMS
UI/UX, Front-end development (HTML, CSS)
2014
Website

Better Bathrooms required an increase in customer email addresses for their email marketing strategy. The newsletter subscription field was previously hidden inline in the footer. The solution was to trigger a modal for new site visitors showing initial signs of engagement (i.e. spending 10 seconds on the page) and provide a cash incentive.
A full site redesign saw a rejig of product categories and subcategories to better suit the end-user. This included the introduction of a full-width mega menu with clear structure, columns and calls to action. Users can now easily navigate to their chosen product category, shop featured items or initiate an online chat is assistance is required. The menu showcases Better Bathrooms' USPs to provide reassurance throughout the user journey. The background is also darkened to put the menu into focus.
A huge plus for Better Bathrooms is the number of retail industry, ecommerce and business awards achieved within the last 2-3 years. Receiving more awards than any other bathroom or tiles retailer, a page was required to showcase the awards and list various achievements. The "Award winning company" message is reiterated throughout the website with a link to this page.

Delivery terms are an important part of any ecommerce offering and can ultimately make or break a users purchasing decision. The delivery page was redesigned to simplify pricing, regions and timescales into a structured table, accompanied by FAQs and real customer feedback.

Better Bathrooms stores are located throughout the UK. The showrooms page provides a sortable overview of locations based on location name or distance from a users IP address. Each list item includes a summary of store information (address, telephone number, opening hours) and link to individual in-depth showroom pages (seen below).

Individual showroom pages can be found via the mega menu or the showrooms list page discussed above. Each showroom contains a gallery, Google map, store details and facilities. Established showrooms also include a HTML5 video and Google Maps walkthrough tour.
