Animal skulls
My past work was based my own opinions of stereotypical personas in society. By observing these people and analysing how they want to be perceived in order to create visual descriptions that enlarge their characteristics.

In this series I looked the skulls of animals and what happens to them once they have passed away. I found it intriguing that when alive they possess certain qualties and aesthetics but once dead these become something completely new. By doing a series of skulls in an illustrated style I hoped to show the beauty that they still hold and added gold leaf as the highlights as a means of adourning them with something that we percieve as valuable.
