The goal for this project was to create a smart object in conjunction with a smartphone application with a networking theme. This is the concept for an application, Wandr, and a smart object (RFID and GPS tagged shoe insoles) for use with elderly patients who may have alzheimers and dementia. The idea here is that the elderly patient's family members and healthcare professionals will have the ability to not only track the whereabouts of said elderly patient, but also to keep in contact with one another at a moment's notice.
