Disposable Society'Designed to be Thrown away After use'
A piece i created as part of my final major project for foundation. During which I researched Capitalism, free enterprise, Marxism, Socialism, The declaration of Independence, ways to live without money: to live free - whether it was possible to be free of materialistic constraints and be happier because of it.
For the most part the works i created concentrated on everything wrong with Capitalism. How it has taken over our lives. Become the most important thing to be a part f the consumer race, regardless of the consequences.
Inspiration for this piece came from Michael Moore's : Consumerism, A Love Story, Logorama, and The Story of Stuff.
The finished piece was a stack of these altered dollar bills next to a shredder, to represent our disposable society, money for materialistic goods that has a planned obsolescence you may as well shred your money.
