I didn't need a full fledged backpack my Senior year of High School so I sewed this up for myself in my free time. (which I had way too much of...) The squares on the front are pockets for the things I liked to be able to access quickly. You can tell it's been loved by the hole on the back.
This was my school bag my Junior year of High School. It's made completely from newspaper bags (the ones plastic ones that keep your newspaper dry when it's raining). I got the idea from a do-it-yourself book my sister had, but instead of a little purse I designed and created this backpack. p.s. Yes, it took months of saving bags to get enough.
