REAL-TIME R&D DEMONSTRATION (UNREAL ENGINE 4.5)

Here is a quick example of some of the visualization work we're doing with Unreal Engine 4. For this example we took our Tesla Los Angeles Auto Show scene we had previously rendered with 3DS Max & Vray for Czarnowski and reworked it for real-time use in Unreal. The first part is the animation output from Unreal's cut scene editor "Matinee" followed by, an interactive "walk around" mode, then into the Unreal Editor making some quick edits and then playing that revised animation back within the Editor.

Of the real-time tools we have tried thus far, Unreal Engine is at the top of our list for quality and workflow efficiency. Unity is a close second.   It's worth noting this scene is only using dynamic lighting so we are foregoing the Lightmass light bake method here. Also we have created some blueprints to control interactive mode walk speed, print real-time text, control Matinee etc.

Unreal Engine's programmatic Blueprints are where the real power of interactive visualization can be brought forth. Via blueprints you can essential create whatever sort of user interaction you desire. This is where our research will be focused next. More examples to come as we dig deeper. Thanks!
