Timberland Capital Advisors, Inc. asked me to create a logotype for them to use for digital and print purposes for 2015. They had a strong idea of what they wanted in building a professional and respectable image for their business and client base, but were open to my suggestions for softening that harsh corporate look into something more natural like the timber they deal with.

I created a custom font for this logotype using ligatures and individually crafted serifs for corporate stability, combined with the imagery of a tree as their ‘A’ for a more obvious association. The tree itself is composed of three overlapping, up-pointing arrows, to represent the growing nature of the investment. I repeated that single strong shape to create a treeline for use in stationary so the tree could remain a uniting element over all branding aspects.
