I filmed this when I came across a protest over the Israel/Palestine Conflict in San Francisco's Justin Herman Plaza on July 26, 2014. I try to showcase two groups of people protesting for what they believe in.

 

The issue surrounding The Land of Israel is quite complicated and depending on how you look at it, goes back thousands of years. On one side you have the Israelis who despite decades of diplomacy remain under constant threat by a relentless Palestinian Hamas that won't settle for anything less than the obliteration of the Jewish State. On the other you have the Palestinians who are forced to live under Israeli occupation and feel they've been robbed of a place they once called home.

 

I wanted to keep my personal beliefs on the issue out of it and strove for an unbiased piece that presented both groups of people. I used my footage and sound as well as a few snippets of sound from other Israel/Palestine San Francisco Protest YouTube clips on the issue. Hope it speaks to you.
