Brief: Design a building hoarding for the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Solution: Tiles have been used abundantly throughout the galleries and rooms of the museum. I designed tiles using illustrations of the museum objects. The objects come from many of the diverse collections that are housed in the V&A. The tiles are arranged to look like the tools that are used both in the building project and by the makers of the objects in the V&A. I have also included the onomatopoeic words of the construction work sounds. The hoarding hints at what is going on behind it, and also what is in the museum. It brings together the invaluable museum objects with the tools that created them.

The hoarding is 70 x 2.5 meters. Each tile is 5cm.
Leaflet to inform visitors about the building works.
