In my graduation project, the orphanage design in Baghdad, aimed to create home like environment for the kids, my intent was to establish houses shared by resident kids and their supervisors, for purpose of giving children feeling of home with their families.
The form was developed according to a concept that define the child as a cell, which is represented differently based on the kids backgrounds, therefore a Voronoi shape grid has been produced.
Each mass is secured, shaded and surrounded by open spaces for to do different activities.
