Cymatics over Classics
Project with the objective of exploring how classical faces of statues get deformed with the movements of liquids, caused by frequencies between 5 Hz and 60 Hz, and using the principle of cymatics, or in other words, the study of how sound vibrations affect particles.
This is a picture of the device used to create this effect. It is composed by a bowl and a speaker, and the images of statues were located underneath the bowl.

This is how it works:

- The speaker outputs different frequencies;
- Those frequencies cause the water or other liquids inside the bowl to vibrate;
- That affects the image and then the effect is recorded on camera.
Here's some effects on the images.

Before: normal image.
After: distorted image.
