Description
Choices bases on a project of researching visual languages of New York City. Flag is a specific language system of New York City; people use this format to display their ownerships, identities, attitudes and advertisements. Technically, flag is a sequence of moving images. The movements shift flag from a graphic to an impression. This changing process is an apotheosis.
In order to make a poster to express my thinking in this project, I traveled in New York City and record the sequence of flags. Like the line I quoted from President Wilson, the usage of flag illustrated the how graphic have been manipulate to become an idol by take the advantage of movement in three-dimensional world.
