Peter Pan Syndrome
2013
Colored Pencil
15”x20”
In days when life is moving quickly, it is important to hold onto the small things in life that made us who we are. The toys from my childhood and the blanket that I always made sure went through the "fluffy cycle" will always be parts of me even though they are no longer things that I see on a daily basis.

Self Portrait
2013
Graphite and ink
9”x12”
Despite the whimsical appearance, the octopus represents the impossibility of achieving goals without owning an identity. High school composes the four years during which one is expected to discover his or her aspirations and identity, but it also composes the four years in which students are trained to lose their individuality and to blindly follow the instruction of a school system. Although it is difficult for my individuality to survive as my name is being erased, I continue to reach for the stars.
