First is a publication of Contemporary Practices for SAIC which collects the work of freshman.

 

The inspiration for my design came from the publication itself. In the previous years, each spread contained 4 images from various artises, alphabetically organized. The resulting book is energetic and full of suprising combinations of imagery. I wanted my design to reflect the theme of having all this work mashed together. Using competing styles, colors, and design elements, I built a cover as energetic as the work inside it.
