In December 2014, I started to develop the chronology of my own software localization experience around a weather report graphic metaphor, since some elements lend themselves to highlighting the important facts.
For example, in a weather forecast, the days and temperatures are set in large typeface; there is extensive use of weather symbols. Following this metaphor, I set the dates in large type (ITC Avant Garde GothicMedium 21 pt). For the symbols, I used typical weather symbols from an EPS file. I also added a row of company logos.
I experimented with the placement of the rows to imitate a weather forecast, as well with the color (using slightly dark pastels in the same swatch the logo colors appear to keep the same motif).
