This was a personal project: an experiment with motion graphics and fire dynamics.

This was a rush job for the TV show, Falling Skies, that I animated and rendered. Someone else did the rigging and modeling.

This was rushed industrial video that I later reworked, smoothing out the character animation, building a background, and adding a little drama to the lighting.

This was a rushed animation assignment which I later turned into a personal project, adding vehicles, moving people & animals, and improved vegetation.

There was only so much I could do with it. This was a gigantic scene and, at the time, I didn't have much computing power. Much of it isn't worth watching, but it has its moments.

 

I still have fantasies about reworking it: smoothing out the animation and expanding the landscaping, but it's not interesting enough to devote more time to.
