Sound drop is a sound absorbing element designed for below-viaducts areas. It has been the topic for my final bachelor presentation and it had been exposed at the Shanghai EXPO 2010 with the project ''100 virtous cities'' in the Italian Pavillion. The main topic was to design something to elevate the image of these areas and create new connections between the city, the suburbs and the outern towns. Sound drop is able to make traffic and viaduct's noise drop significantly: this enables the active use of the area when put together with the other products designed by my team members. The multitude of sound drops creates a layer that can be designed for the specific area. It can be either flat or wavy: this is useful to highlight particular active areas below the viaduct.
