Something different from what I usually do :)
These are rejected mocks for Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
Clients opted for another choice afterwards.

My purpose to style the navigation bar in this way is to save space for additional content.
Upon hiding the navigation bar, more space is loosen up for more information.
Users can hide the sidebar if they do not want to see it.
Assuming that most people come into the site to find out information about the cars :
Users can directly access to the info they need upon landing on the home page.
Cleaner models page with cars line up and quick info about pricing.
Users can get more information upon clicking.
