This album is the culmination of 10 years of work by Al Hawkes and many friends. It includes 17 songs about the State of Maine composed and performed by Al himself, with a couple exceptions.
The package includes a 25 page booklet which boasts Al's original lyrics, a biography of Al Hawkes, and information and photos of all the contributing musicians.

All didn't earn anything from the sale of this album, but donated everything to an organization that is close to home for him.
The booklet and jacket design for the album feature a dozen paintings by Al's great aunt, Julia M Hawkes who painted extensively in the mid to late 1800s. For this project I photographed and digitally restored many of these images.
