An experimental sidetable

The idea was to reduce a table to its barest essentials, and somewhere at the back of my mind was the plastic stands used for 1970s Airfix model aeoplanes. Even then, I loved the movement of that shape.
It started with some teak and oak offcuts that I found around the workshop - respectively, they're bits of an old bed headboard and the scraps from some cheesboards.
This is the underside of the table top. Essentially, I needed to reinforce the structure there somewhat. The result reminds me of a cactus, and may prompt a further experiment.
The shaped wooden feet, after and before (as it were). These were done with a spokeshave, rasps and files. The challenge was getting pleasing running lines from all angles.
