The Father Fred Foundation By Adam Greene
A Partner with Greene & Company, LLP, CPA Adam Greene supports the Father Fred Foundation in Traverse City, Michigan. The organization offers comprehensive assistance for underserved individuals and families.

Though the nonprofit draws inspiration from Father Edwin Frederick, a Catholic priest, it is not itself affiliated with the Catholic Church; rather, it serves people of all faiths. Christian ethics permeate the Foundation’s core beliefs, however, such as seeing God in every client and viewing receiving as giving. The Foundation promotes collaboration by partnering with other charitable organizations.

Some 150 volunteers form the backbone of the Father Fred Foundation. They operate a food pantry and distribute clothing and household goods. Those assisted by the organization can obtain furniture every six months, limited to two pieces each time. The Foundation also provides monetary assistance for prescriptions and overdue utility bills as well as travel to medical appointments.
