These printed billboard designs were for my family's business in Northern Wisconsin. They can be seen on the main route in to the vacation town of Eagle River, WI - coming from either side. The design was set up to so that people leaving town would see the branding ad, while vacationers coming in to town from their cabins would see the water quality ad...and want to get their water cleaned up.
The request was for a board that was heavy on info, but for short viewer time. This design highlights all 3 of the business services while keeping it easy on the eyes.
Northern Wisconsin has notoriously bad drinking water. This ad is something of a PSA while also helping drive sales for water conditioning. Within a week of it going up, a call for an entire filter system was booked - effectively paying for the ad and then some. And yes, the Periodic blocks are a nod to Breaking Bad - a very popular show in the Northwoods.
