I have been obessed with the Mexican festival of the dead and I had set out to make a lot more things with that theme. But then I thought, as an Italian I should also try do something for one of the Italian festivals. So one of the most artistcally pleasing feastivals is the Venetian Carnevale. During the durartion of the Carnevale the Venetians will wear masks that they have custom made or ordered and they have a contest to see who has the best mask. Carla is wearing a Bauta . This is a mask that covers the whole face.
