Completed in 1611, Hatfield House, is a grand country estate built by Robert Cecil, first Earl of Salisbury and son of Lord Burghley, the chief minister of Elizabeth I. It was whilst living here that Elizabeth learnt of her accession to the throne of England. CiD were tasked in creating a robust CMS based website, featuring larger images and a focused site structure. The site refresh incorporated new initiatives underway at Hatfield House for it’s 400th Anniversary, a refocusing and expansion of the facilities and events from family farm, hospitality, retail park, down to the adventure playground. CiD art directed photoshoots, in the house and around the grounds to create a new Guidebook and helped implement the role out of the new ‘Stable Yard’ brand, a retail village of boutique craft shops.
