Whilst working at Ledgard Jepson, a South Yorkshire based design agency, I was given the live brief to design a logo for Art House. I used Baskerville as a basis for the logo as I felt that a traditional serif typeface would nicely represent the high class and sophisticated brand. See Baskerville below:
The image below is the resulting logo I created using Adobe Illustrator. Eliminating the thin strokes and stylising the thick strokes of 'a' and 'h' created a more contemporary logo rather than a solely traditional and classical one. The additional 'floral drips' either side of the 'ah' and above the 'a' give the logo symmetry.
