The goal of this serie of flyers is to be simple and effective.

 

I am the event organizer of those parties as well as the DJ and the graphic designer. So I need the design to do the job well and to be adaptable. My goal is to spend the least time possible on designing a new variation.

 

I did not want to use the usual templates for those kind of events : sexy girls, a couple of items in the background and some shiny typography. I still want to keep some originality. 

 

So I combined a couple of things to make them easily recognizable : 

- a picture of a single rapper (most of the time black and white)

- some kind of typographic logo : the "Ink" with the base line "HipHop Party".

- a plain or gradient background

- one main easily recognizable colour for each version

 

I tried a couple of variation on number 9 and 10.

But I plan on switching back to a very simple version as you see on number 11.
